Letters about the

 Driving School

Bruce,

I do want you to know at how pleased I was at the excellent training I received during the two days I spent with you at your outstanding facility in CT. I have been off-roading for about four years now and during that time I have attended training classes at Rovers North and at Land Rovers North America’s Equinox, both in VT, and have attended a number of seminars at three different Camp Rover events. None of this instruction was as comprehensive as what you presented, nor the facilities for the on-the-trail utilization of the training as varied and challenging. As an instructor, you never made me feel I was in over my head. I can only hope I can retain all the good tips you gave me and drive somewhere close to what you demonstrated as the safe and environmentally sensitive way we all should do.

I do hope I can at some point go on one of your overseas expeditions as I know it would be a life experience one would never forget with the preparation and experience you would bring to the event.

Your new friend,

What a great week.   RJ and Bruce led a great ride. We all got to really practice the recovery that Bill Burke taught on the weekend workshop when I got stuck. It was a real show of cooperation and  success. Hope somebody got  it on video.

Thanks,

Dear Bruce,

I wanted to take a minute to praise the experience that my clients and I had on Saturday at the technical driving school team event. It was the ideal corporate event.

Your attention to detail was second to none. Every client that attended commented on your patience and excellent teaching skills.

Additionally, the set-up and equipment was very user friendly. Every person walked away from the experience empowered and enlightened. I would highly recommend you for both individual and corporate outings. They have also stated that they do work together much better and find that they are more relaxed and natural with one another.

Here is a quote from one of the group members,

"We seem to know what our roles are now without feeling resentment…. it is the team that is important now, not so much the individual." " …when we have a new account we just fall into our jobs, its like we grew up together….. we really trust each others decisions and strengths."

I look forward to doing additional training sessions in the future.

Sincerely,

Dear OEX,

First class!  Bruce Elfstrom's knowledge of off-roading is unsurpassed, but it's his ability to communicate that know-how that really makes the difference.  I learned without realizing I was learning. After spending a day training with Bruce, my confidence level has shot up because now I know how to do it the right way either on or off-road.  I would recommend an expedition day with Bruce for any level of off-road or on-road driver - from first-timers to experienced 4-wheelers.

Bruce -

First let me say that I was amazed to find that this sort of class was offered in Connecticut.  In searching the web for 4x4 driving schools I ran across the usual suspects, all of whom were out in California & Arizona.  My delight was compounded when I delved into the www.overlandexperts.com website & found that our instructor, Bruce, is not only a world class off road driver, but an intellectual on the subject of driving off road.

I was very impressed by the personal instruction which stressed treading lightly & minimizing the environmental impact of driving off road.

That being said, my group of six had a wonderful time participating in the Driving Skills 2 course.  On a cold rainy day, we spent 8 to 9 hours out in the woods slogging thru mud & very  large puddles with nary a complaint to be heard.  Actually, I have been told that signing up for this course was the best idea that I have ever had.  That may well be the case.

Bruce's professionalism, enthusiasm & humor all helped to make the Driving Skills 2 course an amazingly good time.  This class is well worth the money & I would highly recommend it to anyone even thinking of trying their hand at off roading.
This was a fantastic experience.  I, & in fact everyone in my group, am eagerly looking forward to returning to OEX for more fun in the woods.

Dear  OEX;

My girlfriend and I not only had a blast (probably the best "sick" day I have ever taken from work), but your patience, expertise, knowledge, thoughtfulness, and good humor taught us everything we needed for a solid foundation upon which we hope you will continue to teach. The recovery techniques that you showed us, have already proven to be invaluable.

Thank you so much again,

Steve and
